>I’ve posted a couple times on my views of the fixed gear fad (to read them click here and here), and I recently came across an excellent and somewhat comical article at wired.com poking jest at fixies, titled 5 Inexplicable Fixie Fashions…it is rather funny and may make you laugh (to read it click here).

>I love this cartoon…check out all the signage…not too far off-the-mark from modern day subliminal (and not-so-subliminal) messaging. More-and-more these days I’m trying to be myself and not what the “world around me” tells me I’m supposed to be…but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t difficult.

Barcelona 1908 (again)
I posted this video about six months ago but it is so beautiful (I think) that I had to post it again. If you’ve seen it before I know you’ll watch it again. And if you haven’t watched it yet it is worth the seven minutes. Turn of the television or radio and turn upContinue reading “Barcelona 1908 (again)”

Stimulus
The government should offer cash rebates for people to buy bicycles instead of more cars (ie, the ill-fated cash for clunkers deal). I really wonder if gas prices were a tad higher and there were more incentives to use alternative means of travel if more people in America would take the bicycle more seriously…that itContinue reading “Stimulus”

I first blogged about my views of these bikes back in April…you can read it here. And as I stated in my earlier post on this subject…toContinue reading “Not Fixed (#2)”

Things That Can Be Carried On A Bike (#54)
A two pound can of coffee. Two reusable hot/cold compresses. (I have to say that it is a little more challenging carrying things on this little folder, but it is also a lot of fun…it’s also equipped with a hitch to pull a trailer when things get a little bulky.)

The Plank Of Gratefulness
Sometimes I forget…I told myself I wouldn’t, but sometimes I do. Often it takes a little tug or a small “pang” to remind me. And sometimes when I’m pushing the Mundo up this plank I remember. Sometimes it stops me in my tracks…literally. What I’m talking about is being able to move nearly pain-free. I’veContinue reading “The Plank Of Gratefulness”
