Snowy Ride in…
Here’s a picture as I arrived at work this morning. After last week’s thaw and the new blanket of pure white snow it looks more like the beginning of winter than the end. And being frigid cold again, I was glad–as I often am–that I only have a short ride in the morning.

Plus de Neige
This was somewhat unexpected…I didn’t know we were supposed to get snow tonight. I thought the winter was winding down. None-the-less I still find it beautiful.

Cold and Snowy…
I still find it beautiful (though difficult at times)…I want to remember what this looks and feels like when it is hot and humid this coming summer…

Things That Can Be Carried On A Bike (#264)…and why I deserve a ticket
A cardboard box containing $36.22 in groceries (it’s a great way to limit my spending…bring a box, and if it doesn’t fit in the box I’m not buying it) and a 4lb. bag of dog food. One of the (many) things I like about bikes is being able to do my own repairs…and I learnContinue reading “Things That Can Be Carried On A Bike (#264)…and why I deserve a ticket”

Comments on the cold…and a few other things.
This is almost a continuation of a post I wrote a few days ago regarding the pattern of crazy weather we’re having this year…it snows, then turns frigid cold, then it warms up, things start to melt, then it turns cold again and things freeze rock-solid, then it snows…you get the picture. Anyhow, the aboveContinue reading “Comments on the cold…and a few other things.”

Full Moon over Allen Street
I was on my way to purchase a bottle of wine tonight after work and was struck by the scene above. The picture is taken from the focal point at the foot of Allen Street on the corner of Wadsorth looking east. The ominousness of the moon literally stopped me in my tracks…beautiful (frigid, too…10F).Continue reading “Full Moon over Allen Street”
